Medicare Advantage In North Carolina

In an August 10, 2021 notice to its Medicare Advantage providers, Blue Cross NC said acupuncturists “are not able to file the claim directly” and that the claim must be filed under the supervising physician. A November 3, 2022 notice says Blue Cross NC “does not credential or contract with acupuncture providers.” That is one reason many people pay a clinic's posted price directly. These are the insurer's notices as of those dates; ask your own plan what it covers today.
